The Bulova Archive Series is the brand’s tribute to the most memorable moments and celebrated watch designs from the company’s long and illustrious history. The Oceanographer series revives Bulova’s fan-favorite dive watch from the 1970s, which was nicknamed the “Devil Diver” due to having a water resistance rating of 666 feet.

The 44mm stainless steel case of the Bulova Oceanographer “Devil Diver” has a lug width of 20mm, and it includes a solid steel case-back, a double curved sapphire box crystal, and a screw-down winding crown. Sitting atop the case is a unidirectional rotating timing bezel fitted with an acrylic insert for an added dose of nostalgia. Despite its inherently retro styling, the Bulova Devil Diver remains a highly competent dive watch and is ISO certified with a depth rating of 200 meters. A highly legible dial displays the date at 3 o’clock, and its hour markers feature an unmistakably retro design consisting of clear cylinders set on top of luminous plots for a unique and multi-dimensional appearance.

Inside the sturdy case of the Bulova Oceanographer resides the self-winding Miyota 821D movement, which is a reinforced version of the frequently used cal. 821A that has been modified to withstand the shock tests required by ISO standards. Additionally, just like other movements from the same series, the cal. 821D offers owners proven mechanical reliability and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
